1.

DO THIS GUYS TO BE MARKED BRAINLIEST...................range for which the function f(x) = 2x²– log x, for x > 0 decreases, is

Answer»

Solution:-

The CONDITION in which the value decreases=f'(x)>0

now

f'(x)=4x-1/x ×1/ln(1)

f'(x)=4x-1/x

since we have to find DECREASING condition

so,

f'(x)<0

{4x^2-1}/x<0

representing it on the NUMBER line

it is given previously that x>0,so we can't cosider left of 0

putting a number,1/4,in the given term we get

f'(1/4)=(4×1/16-1)/{1/4)}=-3,which is less than 0

similarly putting any number between 0 and 1/2 ,we will get a number<0

hence

range is (0,1/2)

{hope it helps}.
