1.	Distinguish between anisotropy and isotropy.
Answer» Solution :(i)ANISOTROPY is a property of crystalline solids by virtue of which their physical properties like REFRACTIVE index, condutivity ETC. have DIFFERENT values in different directions. (ii) Isotropy is a property of amorphous solids by virtue of which their physical properties like refractive index,CONDUCTIVITY etc. have same values in all directions.
