Displacement is BASICALLY the shortest distantce between the initial point and the final point....so this can be explained USING an example...consider a pathetic 100M long...u covered this 100m and then u RETURNED to ur initial position.....so ur distance will be 200m...but displacement....as u can see will be 0....why?...bcoz the final position is same as initial position....so the shortest distance between these TWO positions will obviously be 0m...I hope you got the point!
