Discuss with your partner and pick out the similes used in the poem. Which one do you like the most? Why?

Answer»

Similes used in this poem are :

(i) ‘And charging along like troops in a battle’.

(ii) ‘Ely as thick as driving rain’ I like the second one the most because the poet says all the sights of hills and plains fly as quickly as a drop of rain following another drop in a storm.
