Split ring is used to change the direction of current after every half rotation while slip ring is used to make contact between the rotating coil and electric circuit... - Split rings are used in electric motors whereas slip rings are used in generators.- split rings are half circles whose inner side is insulted. They act as a commutator in motors.- slip rings also have insulated inner side but are circles. |
