1.

Difference between deadbeat and ballistic galvanometer

Answer» THANKS for the question!

It is DEFINITELY a very interesting question to solve and do some brainstorming.

A deadbeat galvanometer has as low a mass as possible in the moving COIL. It is used to measure current. They have low mass so they respond more quickly.

ABallistic galvanometer CONSISTS of an artificially increased mass or a combination of a moving coil and a MECHANICAL integrator. eg. The analog VU meterwhich is found on traditional audio consoles. The mass of the needle integratesthe signal which makes it respond more slowly.
