Answer» Explanation: Bedouins are an Arab ethnocultural group. They are descended from nomads who LIVED in the Arabian, Syrian and Saharan Deserts. They call themselves the people of the tent, because they travelled around, living in tents. Bedouin were camel raisers and drivers, sheep and goat nomads, cattle driving nomads, and merchants. Today many Bedouin have given up the nomadic life and live and work in towns. They are traditionally divided into tribes, or clans (known in Arabic as ʿašāʾir; عَشَائِر), and historically share a COMMON culture of herding camels and goats. The vast majority of Bedouin adhere to ISLAM, although there are some fewer numbers of Arab Christian Bedouins present in the Fertile Crescent. Bedouins have been referred to by VARIOUS names throughout history, including Qedarites, Edomites in the Old Testament[citation NEEDED] and Arabaa by the Assyrians (ar-ba-a-a being a nisba of the noun Arab, a name still used for Bedouins today). Shasu by the ancient Egyptians. They are referred to as the ʾAʿrāb (أعراب) in the Quran.Traditions like camel riding and camping in the deserts are still popular leisure activities for urban Bedouins who live in close proximity to deserts or other wilderness areas.
