Answer» There are three stages of river,1 youthful stage2 mature stage3 old stage1) youthful stage :-at this stage river is in its erosional phase , we can see deep gorge,V -shape valley , canyon, potholes. At this phase the erosional processes are more predominant.2) mature stageWhen river goes into the gentle sloppy region, that time there are both of the things (erosional, depositional ) processes are same at this stage river starts meandering.3) old stageThe old stage come when river goes into very gentle sloppy region, where slop is near 0 degree , that time river is more predominant in depositional process, it starts forming deltas and at this stage river meets to ocean.
