In CASE of flowering plants, that is Angiosperms double fertilization takes place, in which one male gamete fuses with the egg and the other second fuses with secondary nucleus to form Primary Endosperm Nucleus, this is called Double fertilization. It induces VARIOUS changes in the flowers.

  • Among these structure only pistil remains intact.
  • The zygote starts to grow into an embryo.
  • The ovule starts to develop into seed.
