According to this article, the President of India has the power to impose emergency rule in any or all the Indian states if the security of part or all of India is threatened by “war or external aggression or armed rebellion.”
According to this article, if the President, on receipt of report from the Governor of the state or otherwise is satisfied that a situation has arisen in which the government of the state cannot be carried on in accordance with the provisions of this constitution, he may declare emergency.
According this article, the state of emergency can be implemented in the whole country or a part of the country, in case of financial crisis. |
