Answer» When a metal is attacked by substaces around it such as moisture,acids etc,it is said to be corrode and this process is known as corrosion.For example:- Iron article corroded quickly while getting exposed to moist air for long period of time. The eating away of metal surface layer by layer due to its reaction with harmful atmospheric gases is called corrosion.for eg metal- iron(fe) corroded metal fe2xo3(rust) corroded colour- brown. |
