Answer» ❁ SLIME MOULDS : ✍ The slime moulds are FUNGI like protistans. ✍ Slime moulds occur in dam and shady places, growing on wooden logs, BARKS of tree, decaying LEAVES, moist soil etc. ✍ They Occur has free-living, multinucleate Amoeboid cells called PLASMODIUM or aggregation of many Amoeboid cells called pseudo plasmodium. ✍ The vegetative cells do not possess cell wall but it persists in their spores. ✍ They MOVE with the help of pseudopodia. ✍ They exhibit saprophytic mode of nutrition. |
