Define boiling point and explain why a solute elevate the boiling point of solute ? |
|
Answer» The temperature at which vapour pressure of liquid becomes equal to atmospheric pressure is called boiling point of the liquid. The vapour pressure of liquid is lowered when a non-volatile solute is added to it. Therefore, the temperature of solution is rise to increase the vapour pressure equal to atmospheric pressure. |
