Define a solenoid. How is it different from a coil ?

Answer» A coil of many circular turns of insulated copper wire in shape of a cylinder is solenoid
Solenoid is a long coil wounded by copper wire which acts as a magnet when current is passed through it...... there is no difference between coil and solenoid..... becoz solenoid itself is a coil.......
