(D) 300m3. What volume of 0.10 M H,So,must be added to 50 mL of a 0010 M NaO1 I solution to make a solution inwhich the molarity of the H,SO, is 0.050 M.(A) 400 mL(B) 50 mL(C) 100 mL(D) 150 mL

Answer»

Given: Normality of H2SO4 =M1 = 0.05 M

Normality of NaOH = M2 = 0.1 M

Vol. Of NaOH= V2= 50 ml

Vol. Of H2SO4 =V1 = ?

Now,,

(M1 × V1) / n1 = (M2 × V2) / n2

Here n1 = n2 = coefficient of NaOH and H2SO4 which is 1

So,, M1×V1 = M2 × V2

Keeping values in it , we get ,.

0.05 × V1 = 0.10 × 50

V1 = (0.10×50) / 0.05

= 5/ 0.05

= [100 ml ] Ans……..
