Steps of construction:

  • At first Draw the base line BC = 7 cm,by the PROPERTIES of parallelogram side AD will be equal and PARALLEL to BC.
  • Draw 40° angle at B with the HELP of protector mark dashed line, extend the line . mark a point A at 3 cm.
  • Now angle C is adjacent to B, ∠C will be 180-40 = 140°,measure 140° angle from C ,extend the line,mark D at 3 cm,since AB = CD
  • join point C and D and A and D.
