We can see in current carrying metals like COPPER etc are USED due to there property that they conduct electricity. But non metals cannot conduct electricity. In current carrying conductors this wires are used like copper because metals can be drawn into thin wires that is a property of metals that is they are ductile. But we can not see this property in non metals.
