Chromosomes are heredity carriers.Why do we say so? |

Answer» Because they contains DNA , which have genes . Genes contains character or trait which are to be transferred to progeny . Each character of gene is known as Alleles . It is as like :- alleles are present in ---> genes , genes are present in ---> DNA and DNA is present in ---> chromosome . So overall chromosome contain heredity materials hence known as heridity carrier Prateek Thnx mansi Because they contain inheridetary information in the form of DNA.. As chromosomes contain DNA and heredity is carried by DNA only. |
