Answer» Solution :General valency of HALOGENS is one . When chlorine (or bromine or iodine) is MONO -valent , with more electronegative ELEMENTS , it exhibits +1 state. Fluorine can NEVER exhibit positive oxidation state as it the most electronegative ELECMENT. |
