1.	Can we prepare aniline by Gabriel phthalimide reaction?
Answer» SOLUTION :Aniline cannot be prepared by Gabriel phthalimide REACTION because it requires the treatment of potassium phthalimide with `C_(6)H_(5)CL` or `C_(6)H_(5)BR`. Since aryl halides donot undergo nucleophilic substitution reactions under ordinary conditions, therefore, the reaction does not occur. Hence, aniline cannot be prepared by this method.
