1.

Calculate total resistance in acircuit and current flowing through it

Answer»

Let,

R1=2 ohm

R2=4 ohm

R3=4 ohm

R_b=5 ohm

Now,

\frac{1}{R_a} = \frac{1}{R1}  +  \frac{1}{R2}  +  \frac{1}{R3}

R_a= \frac{R2*R3+R1*R3+R1*R2}{R1*R2*R3}

putiing VALUES,

R_a= \frac{4*4+2*4+2*4}{2*4*4}

R_a= \frac{16+8+8}{32}

R_a=1 ohm

now,

R=R_a+R_b

R=1+5

R=6 ohm

so total RESISTANCE is 6 ohm

and,

Given:-

V=6 V

as we KNOW,

I= \frac{V}{R}

I= \frac{6}{6}

I = 1  <klux>AMPERE</klux>

so the CURRENT is 1 ampere.
