Calculate the area of a right-angled triangle whose one angle is 45° and hypotenuse 20 cm. |
|
Answer» Angle of the right 45°, 45°, 90° Ratio of sides = 1 : 1 : √2 hypotenuse = 20cm ∴ The other two sides are \(\frac{20}{\sqrt{2}}\) cm each ∴ Area of the right angled triangle = \(\frac{1}{2}\times\frac{20}{\sqrt{2}}\times\frac{20}{\sqrt{2}}\) = \(\frac{1}{2}\times\frac{20\times20}{2}=100\) cm2 |
