Calculate number of ions present in 0.01 mole of CaSO4. |
|
Answer» 0.01 molal solution of CaSO4 means, 0.01 mole of CaSO4 present in 1000g of solvent. \(\because\) CaSO4 in solution dissociate into ca+2 & SO4-2 ions. \(\therefore \) Number of moles of ions in 1000g of solvent = 0.02 mol. \(\because\) 1 mole ions contain = 6.02 x 1023 ions. \(\therefore \) 0.02 mole ions contain = 6.02 x 1023 x 0.02 ion = 1.20 x 1022 ions Hence, 1.2 x 1022 ions are present in 1000g of solvent. |
