1.

C is 20% more efficient than B and 50% more efficient than A. If B alone can do the work in 72 days. Then find in how many days will A, B and C together will complete the work?1. 122. 243. 724. 48

Answer» Correct Answer - Option 2 : 24

Given:

C is 20% more efficient than B,

let ratio of their efficiency be 6 : 5

C is 50% more efficient than A,

let ratio of their efficiency be 2 : 3

 CB  | C A
Efficiency:5  | 2 3

We know that if the ratio of efficiency is x : y  then the ratio of time taken will be y : x

 CB  | C A
Efficiency:5  | 2 3
Days: 6  | 3  2

Ratio of Days, C :  B : A  = 10 : 12 : 15

Let the total units to be produced be LCM(10,12 & 15) = 60 units

⇒ C’s 1 day work = 6 units

⇒ B’s 1 day work = 5 units

⇒ A’s 1 day work = 4 units

⇒ B alone can do work in = 60/5= 12

According to question

12 represents 72 days

⇒ 1 represents = 72/12= 6 days

So A ,B and C together can complete it in = (60/15) × 6  days= 24 days

∴ A , B and C together will complete the work in 24 days.
