Assertion :- The heat absorbed during the isothermal expansion of an ideal gas against vacuum is zero reason :- The volume occupied by the molecules of an ideal gas is zero. Answer says both the statements are correct but reason doesn't explain the assertion. i get the Assertion part (as ∆U = 0 , so q=P∆V and in vacuum P = 0) but how come the reason is true?
