What are the laws of reflection?

→ It states that the angle of incidence is equal to the angle of reflection.

→ And it happens in the same plane.

Is it valid for irregular surfaces ?

→ The laws of reflection are also valid for the irregular surfaces also.

 We may think that it is not . But here is the reason for it.

Reasons : ( Pls refer to the images also)

Let us take an irregular surface. And let a light source FALL on it.Then, It will GET reflected.

 But Actually it seems to be that the angle of incidence is not equal to the angle of reflection and does appear to follow . But the truth is, it does.

Let us have a magnified IMAGE of an irregular surface on which the light falls and gets reflected.

Now draw a tangent to the surface on which the light incidence and also mark the normal. Now, when we SEE we get an amazing result where the angle of incidence is equal to angle of reflection.

And it is clearly understood that all happens on the same plane. Hence it FOLLOWS the law's of reflection.
