SOLUTION :(i) The thin ozone layer on top of the stratosphere is crucial for human survival, as it absorbs a major PART of highly energetic radiation, harmful for human being, coming from the SUN. These radiations lie in ultraviolet region of e.m. spectrum. UV rays are used to kill germs in WATER PURIFIERS. These are also used in LASIK eye surgery.
