Nehru had seen the Ganga at Allahabad since his childhood. He had grown older and his a attachment to the Gangs has also increased with the passage of tine. He had seen the Ganga in different moods in different seasons. He regarded the Ganga as a symbol of India's age-long culture and civilization. The Ganga reminds Nehru of the snow-covered peaks and deep valleys of the Himalayas Which he loved so much. So Nehru was deeply attached to the Ganga but this love was not guided by any religious sentiment

Socrates (469/470-399 BCE) was a Greek philosopher and is considered the father of western philosophy. Plato was his most famous student and would teach Aristotle who would then tutor Alexander the Great.
