2x {}^{2}  - 7x + 10 = 0

has no real ROOTS as the dirciminant is negative in that CASE so it will have only TWO conjugate IMAGINARY roots which are

\frac{7 +  \sqrt{31}i }{4}  \: and \:  \frac{7 -  \sqrt{31}i }{4}
