1.

An object is placed 15 cm from a converging ( concave ) mirror that has a focal length of 10 cma. determine the image located b. determine the magnification factor c. if the object is 5 cm high how high is the image d. what are the four characteristics of the image plz try to answer faster

here is your answer !!

u = -15 cm

f = -10 cm.

v = ??

using the MIRROR formula we have

1 / u + 1 / v = 1 / f

= > 1 / -15 +1 / v = 1 / -10

=> 1 / v = 1 / -10 + 1 / 15

= > a =>>> v = -30 .

now ,

=>>>> B

magnification =>. - v / u

=>. -30 / 15

=> - 2

D ))) hence , the magnification is NEGATIVE then we know that image is :-

real and inverted

C )))

height of image => ??

height of object = 5cm

magnification = image HIGHT / object height

=> -2 = image distance / 5

hence , image distance is => 10 cm

thanks
