ACTIVITY 1Collect the following items: s triangular shaped wooden block, a newspaper, a small towel, a polished wooden sheet, a cardboard, a rubber ball, a plastic ball , a marble, a metal cylinder Put the triangular shaped wooden block on a newspaper. Roll down the rubber ball, plastic ball, marble and metal cylinder one by one from its top edge. Note the distances covered by these objects on the newspaper. Repeat the activity by replacing newspaper by towel, polished wooden sheet and cardboard. What are your observations? The following observations are made: Same moving object covers different distances on different material surfaces. . . Different objects moving on a same material surface cover different . The ball rolling down the block distances. |
