Our saliva generated by the salivary gland help in lubricating the food so that it doesn\'t choke in the oesophagus.3] Oesophagus:- also known as food pipe helps in pushing the food into the stomach by a contraction and relaxation movement known as Peristalsis.4]Stomach:- The food is sent here so that it can be churned well. Our stomach is a J - shaped organ on the left of the abdomen. It has HCl, Pepsin and Mucus in it.5]small intestine:- Th food is sent here to absorb all the important nutrient like Carbohydrates, Proteins and fats into its simpler substance (i.e Glucose, Amino acids and Fatty acids).6] Large intestine:- the water and water soluble nutrients are absorbed in the large intestine and the undigested food are expelled out of the body through **** in the form of Faeces.
