1.

ABC is right angled at BAngle A = 45° AC = 3 under root 2Find (i) BC and (ii) AB

Answer»

Given :-

Angle A = 45°

AC = 3√2

To find :-

Solution :-

given that triangle ABC, Angle B=90, Angle A = 45° and AC = 3√2

then,

SinA = BC/AC

Sin45°= BC/3√2 = 1/√2 ( STANDARD trigonometric value)

now solve this relation to get,

BC= 3 units

now you can EITHER use Pythagoras theorem or TanA to find AB.

TanA = BC/AB

Tan45 = 3/AB = 1

so, AB = 3 units

Thus BC is 3 units and AB is also 3 units.
