Let the nuber of 20rupees notes be x

let the NUMBER of 50 rupees notes be 19-x ........... as the total number of notes is 19

20(x) + 50(19-x)=500

after solving the EQUATION we get

x=15

hence 20 rupees notes are 15

and 50rupees notes are 19-x=19-15=4 notes

Therefore there are 15 notes of 20 rupess

and 4notes of 50 rupess
