A solution contains 15% of salt, from which 30 kg of water is removed. The quantity of salt remains 20% in that solution. Find the initial quantity of solution.

Answer»

Answer:

Let, QUANTITY of original solution = 100x

Then quantity of salt = 15x

When 30kg of WATER is EVAPORATED then total quantity= 100x -30

But quantity of salt will remain same and now quantity of salt is 20% of original quantity

(100x -30)*1/5 = 15x

X = 120 kg
