A rectangle and a square have the same perimeter if the rectangle is of length 8cm and breadth 6cm, find the length of the square please answer I will mark you as the brainliest

Answer»

We know that the perimeter of both the SQUARE and the rectangle are equal.

So, first we should find the perimeter of the rectangle. That is,

2(l+b)

We know that, l = 8cm & b = 6cm.

Substituting here, we get,

= 2(8+6)

= 2(14)

= 28cm

Since the perimeter of both of them are equal, we can say that,

Perimeter of square = 28cm.

But,

Perimeter of square = 4 × s.

So, 4 × s = 28cm

Therefore, s = 28cm/4

S = 7 cm

Therefore, the side of the square is 7 cm.

Hope it HELPS you!
