a potential of 4 V Is applied to two resistors of 3 ohm and 6 ohm connected in parallel calculate the current flowing in 3 resistor please answer this

Answer»

GIVEN :

▪ Two IDENTICAL RESISTORS of resistances 3Ω and 6Ω are connected in PARALLEL.

▪ Applied voltage = 4V

To Find :

▪ Current FLOW through 3Ω resistor.

Concept :

→ We know that, Potential difference across all resistors remains same in parallel connection.

→ As per ohm's law, current flow through a conductor is directly proportional to the applied pd. (At constant temp.)

Mathematically,

V = IR

where,

V denotes applied voltage

I denotes current

R denotes resistance

Calculation :

➡ V = I × R

➡ 4 = I × 3

➡ I = 4/3

I = 1.33A
