Answer» Imagine charge to be ENCLOSED in a CUBE of dimensions 8cm×8cm×8cm whose one face is square plate mentioned in question. For this imaginary cube we can write electric flux through it. Since charge is at centre of this cube we can SAY flux through all faces will be EQUAL (by symmetry) THUS flux through each face will be 1/6 times of total flux. Since square plate was one of the faces of imaginary cube we know electric flux through it. Hope it will be helpful.
