Answer» (a). The two commonly use IUDs are (i). CuT - Cu ions suppress sperm motility/ fertilising capacity of sperms. (ii). Progestasert - makes uterus unsuitable for implantation / makes cervix hostile to sperms. (b). Sterilization advised for the male /female partner as terminal method to prevent any more pregnancies. In male: part of vas deferens is cut and tied (vasectomy) In female: a small part of the fallopian tube is removed or tied up (tubectomy) |
