A is more efficient than B and they togather can complete a work 24 days. Had A done 50% of the work and then B the remaining work then the work would have been done in 50 days.B alone will complete 40% of the same work in how many days? |

Answer» Hmm. Efficiency = Work output/Work Input x 100. Time does not feature. Therefore we must GAUGE it on a constant daily basis to eliminate this time factor of 24 days. Let’s say the job factor Total for A equals 24 and decide that 1 day represents 1/24 of the total job. So ‘A’ has an efficiency of 1 per day. Now ‘B’ is 50% more efficient than ‘A’, so ’B’ does work at a RATE of 150% (1.5) of ‘A’ , over the same period. If it takes ‘A’, 24 days to COMPLETE the job (Factor 24) then it will take ‘B’, 24/1.5 days to do the same job. |
