1.

A body mass of 5kg is moving with an acceleration of 5m/s^2.what is the rate of change of momentum?plss help me guys

Answer»

Given :

  • Mass (m) = 5 kg
  • Acceleration (a) = 5 m/s²

To find :

  • RATE of change of momentum

Note :-

We also called rate of change of momentum is Force.

It MEANS that we have to find Force

So,

Force = Mass × Acceleration

Or,

→ F = ma

→ F = 5 ×5

→ F = 25 N

So,the rate of change of momentum is 25.

_____________________________

Newton's second law of motion :-

The rate of change of momentum is directly proportional to the applied force, and takes place in the direction in which the force acts.

  • SI UNIT of Acceleration is m/s²

  • SI unit of Force is Newton
