Answer» Assume that the TOTAL units of WORK = LCM (6 , 12) = 12 units Number of units done by A in one hour = 12/6 = 2 units PER hour Number of units done by B in one hour = 12/12 = 1 units per hour Work done by A and B alternatively will be one unit of work i.e A+B = 2+1 = 3UNITS of work in two hours. So they will require 8 hours to complete the 12 units of work alternatively. So they will finish by 4:00 PM |
