9. Find10. Findthe angle whose supplement is four times its complement.the angle whose complement is one third of its supplement.

Answer»

1) sum of supplementary angles is = 180° so , let the angle be x => supplementary angle is. 180-x

also , its complementary angle is 90-x now , according to the question..180-x = 4(90-x) => 4x-x = 360-180 => 3x = 180° so, x = 180/3 = 60°

2) sum of complementary angle is 90°so, let the bigger angle be xnow its complimentary angle is 90-x ,

and also its supplementary angle is 180-x

now according to the question 180-x = 3(90-x) => 3x-x = 270-180 => 2x = 90 => x = 45°
