7. The angles of a quadrilateral are in the ratio 1:2:3:4. Find the smallest and the largest angle.8. Show that23+2V2

Answer»

7. Let the angles of quadrilateral be

x, 2x, 3x , 4x

sum of all angles of quadrilateral = 360°

x + 2x + 3x + 4x = 360°

10x = 360°

x = 360/10 = 36°

Ans. the four angles are :-

x = 36°2x = 2 × 36 = 72°3x = 3 × 36 = 108°4x = 4 × 36 = 144°

8. √2+1/√2-1

= √2+1/√2-1 * √2+1/√2+1

= (√2+1)²/(√2²-1²)

= √2² + 2√2 + 1/2-1

= 2+1+2√2

= 3+2√2
