Answer» Gypsum chemical formula is CaSO4.2H2O whereas on the other hand chemical formula for the plaster of Paris is CaSO4.1/2H2O. On heating, the gypsum at 373 K plaster of Paris is formed which is mostly used by the doctors for the treatment like fractures, sprain, etc. this is due to the properties of plaster of paris which is paitentent gets faster relief from the pain. |
