Answer» Diversity can be best defined as the way things vary, or differ from one another. Some of the best examples of diversity are evident in the various cultures, ethnic backgrounds, racial characteristics and religious affiliations that make up both the American and global populations. Ideally, diversity enriches society by bringing a refreshing supply of perspectives and methods to a homogenized collective that may have exhausted its own. Historically, America has served as an example to the world of diversity at work. America has become synonymous with “experiment,” as it relates to the melding of a seemingly endless array of traits, characteristics and capabilities once only viewed in the context of their places of origin. |
