1.

4x+6y=6;3x+7y=2 solve this linear equation in two variables fast please

Answer»

Hey there !

4x + 6y = 6 multiplied by 3 gives, 12x + 18Y = 18
3x + 7Y =2 multiples by 4 gives, 12x + 28 y = 8 .

Subtracting both EQUATIONS,

12x + 18y = 18
12x + 28y = 8
=============
-10y = 10

So, y = -1 .

Now, 4x - 6 =6 , 4x = 12 , x = 3 .

So, ( x, y) = ( 3 , -1 ) is the required solution.
