1.

4500 J of energy is used to raise an object with a mass of 50 kg to a height h .Calculate h

Answer»

Given :-

  • Potential ENERGY (P.E) = 4500 J
  • Acceleration de to gravity (g) = 10 (APPROX of 9.8)
  • MASS (m) = 50 kg.

To Find :-

  • Height (H)

We have to find the height (h) here and we know the formula of Potential Energy (P.E) = m × g × h

In this, we have P.E , m & g and h isn't there

So, we PUT the values and solve it

→ P.E = m × g × h

→ 4500 = 50 × 10 × h

→ 4500 = 500 h

→ 500h = 4500

→ h = 4500/500

→ h = 9

Thus, the height is 9 m
