On dividing it by 60 we get 40 as remainder so subtracting 40 from 1000 gives a number which is divisible by 60 So 960 is divisible by 60. The next number divisible by 60 is 960+60 = 1020. 960 is a 3 digit number so 1020 is the smallest 4 digit number divisible By 60 and hence divisible by 2,3,4,5 and 6. |
