Answer» Oscillatory motion : When a body moves to and fro about its mean position, its motion is called oscillatory motion. For example, motion of the pendulum of a clock. Random motion : A body which has a particular motion that suddenly changes to another kind of motion is said to have random motion. For example, when a mosquito is flying, at one moment it may have a translatory motion, at the next moment it may have a rotatory motion. Such a motion is the random motion.
